The agency manages hundreds of facilities and operates with a large team as well as a several billion-dollar budget to meet the diverse needs of New Yorkers experiencing homelessness.
The Office of Program Development and Implementation (OPDI) is a unit within the Office of Program Development a part of DHS Executive Office. OPDI was established to make system improvements and enhancements by developing programs policies procedures and training; supporting implementation; and monitoring and evaluating performance.
The Department of Homeless Services (DHS) is recruiting to hire one (1) Administrative Staff Analyst NM to function as a Deputy Director of Training Development who will:
-Identifying and engaging internal and external stakeholders to determine agency training needs.
-Liaising with internal and external stakeholders to resolve roadblocks and ensure training courses or programs are developed within prescribed timelines.
-Customize and configure courses within ABSORB and The Agencys Learning Management System to ensure courses are deployed to the correct audience.
-Maintain and troubleshoot issues within ABSORB to meet organizational training needs including managing content and user roles.
-Enhancing ABSORB reporting to ensure Agency compliance with training requirements.
-Developing job aids to memorialize the ABOSRB functions that are critical for DHS training operations.
Hours/Schedule: Monday-Friday 9:00am -5:00pm
ADMINISTRATIVE STAFF ANALYST ( - 1002A
Qualifications :
1. A masters degree from an accredited college in economics finance accounting business or public administration human resources management management science operations research organizational behavior industrial psychology statistics personnel administration labor relations psychology sociology human resources development political science urban studies or a closely related field and two years of satisfactory full-time professional experience in one or a combination of the following: working with the budget of a large public or private concern in budget administration accounting economic or financial administration or fiscal or economic research; in management or methods analysis operations research organizational research or program evaluation; in personnel or public administration recruitment position classification personnel relations employee benefits staff development employment program planning/administration labor market research economic planning social services program planning/evaluation or fiscal management; or in a related area. 18 months of this experience must have been in an executive managerial administrative or supervisory capacity. Supervision must have included supervising staff performing professional work in the areas described above; or
2. A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college and four years of professional experience in the areas described in 1 above including the 18 months of executive managerial administrative or supervisory experience as described in 1 above.
