About the role
The Interim Director of Procedural Services will provide short-term leadership and operational oversight for procedural departments ensuring safe efficient and compliant patient care during a period of leadership transition. This role focuses on staff leadership workflow optimization and maintaining high-quality standards across all assigned procedural areas.
Key responsibilities

Oversee day-to-day operations of procedural and perioperative service lines (such as cath lab GI EP and related procedural areas depending on facility structure).

Lead mentor and support nursing and clinical teams promoting a collaborative patient-centered environment.

Ensure regulatory and accreditation compliance (e.g. Joint Commission CMS AORN standards) and adherence to hospital policies and nursing practice standards.

Monitor and improve quality safety and patient experience metrics implementing evidence-based practices and performance improvement initiatives.

Collaborate closely with physicians anesthesia and senior hospital leadership on strategic and operational priorities for procedural services.

Manage scheduling staffing and productivity to support appropriate patient throughput and effective use of procedural rooms and resources.

Participate in budgeting and resource planning for assigned departments as appropriate to the interim scope.

Support change management stabilization and transition activities while a permanent leader is recruited or onboarded.
Candidate requirements

Registered Nurse with a strong nursing leadership background in perioperative or procedural services (Manager or Director level).

Minimum 3 years of leadership experience in acute care procedural and/or surgical services.

Bachelors degree required; advanced degree in nursing healthcare administration or related field preferred.

Experience leading multidisciplinary teams in a fast-paced hospital environment during periods of change or transition.

EPIC EMR experience preferred; strong comfort with clinical information systems and data-driven decision making.

Demonstrated ability to drive quality safety and operational performance while fostering a culture of collaboration and accountability.

Willingness and ability to be on-site in Wenatchee WA for the duration of the 26-week contract with flexibility to adjust hours based on operational needs.
