Job Summary


Turner & Townsend are seeking an experienced Associate Director of Project Management to join our team in support of commercial real estate corporate interiors projects. The ideal individual will have prior experience supporting commercial real estate construction ideally with Corporate Interiors experience. The candidate must be able to work out of the Jersey City downtown office at least 3 days a week. 
 

Responsibilities:  

  • Support the Director of Project Management in managing new and existing client relationships driving new revenue through the generation of new work and contract renewals on existing accounts. 
  • Manage stakeholders including architects engineers and supply chain to deliver compliant projects. 
  • Can analyze track and effectively manage critical milestone activities to avoid schedule slip. 
  • Verify that effective project governance processes and systems are utilized 
  • Ensure application of best practice on all projects. 
  • Production of formal project status reports and other reports as required. 
  • Monitor the progress of multiple construction projects simultaneously to ensure that the approved design standards are being applied correctly. 
  • Manage the interface between all suppliers through monthly trackers and weekly reviews. 
  • Manage the flow of project information between the project team through regular meetings and written communications. 
  • Forecast and update key project milestones. 
  • Manage and monitor local design teams in accordance with commission criteria. 
  • Provide technical support to owners architects general contractors and regional stakeholders. 
  • Rapid response to RFIs from the field. 
  • Provide expertise for cost control value engineering and constructability guidance where required. 
  • Independent review of status reports drawing submittals timelines and costs from architects contractors and suppliers. 
  • Client management assist in developing excellent working relationships with Clients with a view towards maximizing new opportunities. 
  • Strategic Thinking - provides advice to project teams on approaches that can be adopted to successfully achieve both clients objectives and business objectives. 
  • Knowledge management ensure that key information and learnings generated from each project is captured. 
  • Process improvement Identify ways to improve internal systems and processes 
  • SOX control responsibilities may be part of this role which are to be adhered to where applicable. 

 


Qualifications :

 

  • Bachelors degree in construction management architecture engineering or field related to construction. 
  • Minimum 8 years of relevant experience working in a project management role in the construction industry. 
  • Experience managing client accounts effectively and efficiently. 
  • Experience managing teams of individual project managers and support staff. 
  • Relevant commercial real estate consulting experience. 
  • Strong knowledge of local construction market 
  • Strong understanding of all aspects of the construction project life cycle. 
  • Ability to develop strong relationships with internal team members clients and cross-functional team members. 
  • Business development experience with existing and new clients including cross-selling opportunities. 
  • Relevant technical and leadership experience overseeing major construction projects or programs. 
  • Demonstrates excellent presentation verbal written organizational and communication skills.

Additional Information :


The salary range for this full-time role is $150K-$180K per year. Ranges are determined by role and level and represent a good faith effort to provide a fair and equitable salary. This range is a reflection of base salary only not of a total compensation package.  Please note Turner & Townsend reserves the right to pay more or less than the posted range depending on candidates experience and qualifications.

*On-site/in-office presence is required 3 days a week. Requirements may change depending on our clients needs.*
