The Superintendent V is responsible for leading and managing complex construction projects to ensure they are delivered on time within budget and in alignment with project specifications. This role oversees multiple disciplines and scopes of work typically valued at $50MM and above with minimal guidance from senior leadership.
The ideal candidate is a seasoned construction professional who can coordinate and supervise craft superintendents contractors and field activities. This individual is self-sufficient highly organized and capable of mentoring junior staff while driving project success.
Candidates must be willing to travel extensively. Current project locations include Wisconsin Tennessee Kansas Pennsylvania and California among others
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all construction activities to meet project specifications budget and schedule.
- Oversee complex to highly complex projects with multiple scopes and disciplines.
- Coordinate plan and supervise craft superintendents and contractors.
- Ensure quality control safety compliance and adherence to project timelines.
- Serve as a mentor to junior staff and contribute to team development.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to resolve field issues and maintain project momentum.
Qualifications :
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Construction Management Construction Science Engineering or equivalent experience.
- 20 years of construction experience including leadership roles on large-scale projects.
Preferred Qualifications
- Proven success managing mid to large-sized construction projects.
- Experience in Design/Build environments.
- Strong understanding of project specifications and ability to identify field deviations.
- Expertise in Lean Construction Tools for scheduling sequencing and constructability.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office mobile devices (iPad or handheld) and project management software.
- Experience with PlanGrid and VDC applications is highly desirable.
- Discipline-specific expertise in Mechanical Electrical Piping/Plumbing Automation or I&C.
- Strong leadership and mentoring capabilities.
