NC-DHHS is seeking a Senior mainframe developer to provide support for multiple efforts in NC FAST and legacy Child Welfare applications.
- NC FAST is seeking a Senior Mainframe Developer to support several mission-critical systems and processes.
- This role will provide technical expertise for ongoing interface operations inquiry-only applications the Child Placement and Payment System (CPPS) and Central Registry applications for the Child Welfare program.
- Additionally the position will support PATH NC Data Conversion activities.
- Primary responsibilities include leading data conversion efforts and implementing application enhancements based on evolving business needs.
- The developer will diagnose and resolve application issues and provide production support using technologies such as CICS COBOL DB2 JCL VSAM stored procedures and other supporting mainframe tools.
- This role also involves senior-level business and systems analysis modeling and design and programming using COBOL CICS and DB2.
- Duties include participating in effort estimation consulting and planning for system modifications and enhancements and monitoring technical activities to ensure alignment with schedules milestones and deliverables.
- The developer will also provide regular status updates time reporting and ensure quality assurance and compliance with state departmental and divisional standards.
Please note:
- This position requires on-call availability for nightly batch processes including both weekdays and weekends.
