Position Title: Senior Backend Engineer
Location: San Francisco (Fully Remote)
Compensation: $150000 - $180000 Base (Equity is on the table)
A repidly growing prominent company is exclusively seeking a Senior Backend Architect/Engineer for a critical fully remote role. This is a vital architectural leadership position. We are searching for an experienced individual (7 years) proficient in Python and/or Ruby with a proven ability to design build and scale backend systems and APIs. Success in this role requires a strong focus on technical debt reduction BDD/TDD methodologies and contributing to modern architectures like microservices on platforms like AWS/Heroku.
- Focus: Core responsibility is to design build and refactor scalable backend systems that directly power mission-critical operations and partner platforms.

REQUIRED TECHNICAL SKILLS- Experience: -Minimum 7 years of hands-on backend engineering experience focused on high-traffic scalable architecture.
- Languages: -Expert proficiency in either Python or Ruby (or both).
- API & Data: -Deep skill in RESTful API design database modeling and complex querying.
- Architectural Insight: -Strong knowledge of design patterns and a proactive approach to architecture discussions and system evolution.
Desired Background (Highly Advantageous)- Deep experience leveraging major frameworks (e.g. Django or Ruby on Rails) to rapidly deploy and scale services.
- Demonstrated expertise working with cloud-environments (AWS Heroku) to manage deployment monitoring and scaling of backend systems.
- Proven ability to contribute to or design-modern-architectures includingmicroservices or minilith systems focusing on clear service separation.
- Domain familiarity or past experience working with Real Estate (or FinTech) platforms that involve high-value regulated transactions.
