Job Description

Job Title: Research Support Assistant

Grade: 10

Salary: $42843-$51079

The Research Foundation for Mental Hygiene is seeking a qualified candidate to fill a full-time Research Support Assistant position for the Department of Psychotic Disorders to contribute to the coordination of etiological and interventional research studies in individuals with schizophrenia and related psychotic disorders.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Creating data collection instruments and performing data entry
  • Interacting with research subjects including calls for scheduling taking vital signs measurements phlebotomy (blood draws) and sample processing performing on site urine pregnancy and drug tests assisting with MRI scans and other study-specific
  • procedures
  • Performing general clerical work (file research documents organize patient charts obtain medical records)
  • Assisting with grant protocol and manuscript writing
  • Providing direct assistance to the Associate Director and Director
  • Conducting other work related to the implementation and maintenance of clinical research studies
  • Occasional Weekend work to conduct procedures for research study visits (e.g. obtain vital signs conduct blood draws and sample processing etc.)
  • Work occasional weekends to conduct procedures for research study visits
  • (2) year commitment

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Minimum of a Bachelors degree
  • Willing to be certified for phlebotomy

Preferred Qualifications:

  • CITI GC
  • P/HSR certifications
  • Interest or experience in human subjects research.
  • Training and experience with data entry and use of Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Must be well-organized and have excellent interpersonal skills
