Staff Data Platform Software Engineer

• Experience in coding in Java object-oriented and modularized software.
• Demonstrated success completing complex projects.
• Demonstrated aptitude for learning new technologies quickly.

Qualifications :

• 10 years of experience with Java or similar OO language  
• Experience with Core Java development 
• Expert level understanding of best practices for object-oriented and modularized software. Emphasis on Java. 
• Experience with relational databases: Oracle MySQL MariaDB and/or PostgreSQL  
• Strong understanding of SQL and query development  
• Familiarity with Unix shell 

Nice to have:

• Expertise in writing Java code and working knowledge of JavaScript. Experience in other OO languages will be considered
• Expertise in unit and integration test automation
• Deep database internals knowledge
• Technical leadership skills (requirements gathering mentoring project ownership)
• Understanding of monolithic Java application
