Senior QA Engineer

We are looking for a Senior QA Engineer to join our Ascend Cloud Foundation Platform team.

Were looking for a Senior QA Engineer to join our team and help ensure the quality of our cloud-based applications. Youll bring a strong background in test automation AWS batch processing and large-scale backend systems and thrive in agile environments. As a key member of the QA team youll contribute to test planning develop automation frameworks and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to uphold high quality standards.

Key responsibilities:
Participate in defining and executing test plans and strategies
Design develop and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks
Ensure comprehensive test coverage across functional integration regression and performance testing
Collaborate with developers product managers and DevOps to integrate quality throughout the SDLC
Contribute to CI/CD pipeline integration for automated testing
Support defect triaging and root cause analysis
Advocate for best practices in testing including shift-left approaches

Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Computer science Engineering or related field

Required skills/ experience:
5 years of experience in Quality Assurance with at least 12 years in a senior or advanced role
Solid understanding of QA methodologies agile testing and SDLC practices
Hands-on experience with automation tools such as Selenium Cypress or similar
Familiarity with CI/CD tools like Jenkins or Bamboo
Experience with API testing and SQL
Working knowledge of AWS services such as Glue S3 Step Functions Lambdas EventBridge and SQS
Proficiency in at least one programming/scripting language (e.g. Java Python Scala JavaScript)
Experience with BDD/TDD frameworks

Advantageous experience:
Experience with Big Data testing
Mentor Junior QA engineers
Proficiency in SQL and Data validation
Knowledge of Performance Testing tools
Familiarity to AI/ML Model Testing
Basic understanding of security testing
