Job Description

Our client a fast paced Custom and Auto Body repair shop is looking for the services of an Auto body Flatter/ Paint Prepper in the paintshop . We want to talk with you if: Youre motivated by staying busy take pride in your work enjoy working in a team environment.

Responsibilities:

Perform paint preparation procedures within the paint department.

The Paint Prepper is tasked with quality preparation for all assigned vehicles prior to the paint reassembly and final finish stages.

We require the candidate to have a minimum of 5 years experience in the paintshop and in preparation.

  • Reviews estimates and understands scope of repair
  • Inspects body repairs to ensure standards are met
  • Tapes surface areas and parts with precision to minimize tapelines and overspray
  • Applies masking paper as necessary
  • Parts removal and reassembly as required
  • Performs final surface cleaning and preparation for proper adhesion
  • May block and sand repair areas as needed
  • Prime edge jam replacement parts as requested
  • Learns to mix paint as needed

Min Requirements:

Be able to flat primer
- Be able to fix small dents and scratches
- Block waves
- Spot chips and scratches
- Work fast
- Workmanship must be of a high quality
