BI Expert (JasperReports)

We currently have a vacancy for a BI Expert (JasperReports) fluent in English to offer his/her services as an expert who will be based in Brussels Belgium. The work will be carried out either in the companys premises or on site at customer the context of the first assignment the successful candidate will be integrated in the Development team of the company that will closely cooperate with a major clients IT team on site.

Your tasks

• Creation and maintenance of Enterprise Data Warehouses (EDW) and complex Business Intelligence Solutions (Data Lakes / Data Lakehouses);
• Designing ETL processes;
• Design and development of reporting applications;
• Design develop and deploy JasperReports (including iReport/Jaspersoft Studio) for operational and analytical reporting needs;
• Build and maintain custom report templates dashboards and visualizations;
• Integrate JasperReports into Java-based applications for seamless data delivery;
• Write and optimize SQL queries stored procedures and data models to support reporting;
• Troubleshoot and optimize existing reports ensuring accuracy performance and usability;
• Support data migration ETL processes and data validation to ensure high-quality reporting datasets.

• University degree in IT or relevant discipline combined with minimum 15 years of relevant working experience in IT;
• Excellent experience in BI/reporting development;
• Proven experience with JasperReports (including Jaspersoft Studio or iReport Designer);
• Excellent knowledge of relational database systems applied to data warehouse.;
• Excellent knowledge of business intelligence reporting tools;
• Excellent knowledge of modelling tools;
• Excellent knowledge of online analytical data processing (OLAP) and data mining tools;
• Good knowledge of data lake/data lakehouse design and architecture;
• Good Knowledge of Java (Spring Boot or similar frameworks is a plus);
• Good knowledge of data lake/data lakehouse design and architecture
• Knowledge of non-relational database technologies;
• Proficiency in SQL (Oracle MySQL PostgreSQL or SQL Server) for query optimization and report generation;
• Familiarity with ETL tools and data integration workflows;
• Understanding of data warehousing concepts and BI best practices;
• Excellent command of the English language.
