The position
The Fulfillment Manager is responsible for leading the shipping and warehouse departments with the overall goal of creating a happy engaged and motivated team. This role ensures products are picked and shipped to meet our quality specifications 100% of the time while continuously driving efficiency and achieving departmental budget targets.
This is a permanent full-time position working Monday through Friday from our Workshop in Canmore Alberta.
What youll be doing
Fulfillment & Warehouse Operations
- Manage and monitor the overall performance of the shipping team
- Drive efficiency in shipping areas through tools innovation team engagement and optimized workspaces
- Collaborate effectively withcross-functional teams to support business goals
- Ensure the health and safety of team members through Rocky policies and procedures
- Empower team members and hold them accountablefor achievingshipping targets andprocess improvements
- Negotiate and procure shipping and packing supplies and ensure competitive pricing for outbound freight services
- Oversee warehouseoperations including layout process flow and storage optimization
- Supervise all aspects of warehouse and shipping functions includingpicking receiving storage dispatching maintenance sanitation and administration
- Other duties as assigned
- Lead and oversee Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Natural Health Products (NHP) processes across shipping and warehouse operations
- Ensure full compliance with all applicable laws regulations and industry standards
- Establish and maintain comprehensive quality management systems policies procedures to uphold Rockys commitment to quality
- Serve as the subject matter expert on regulatory requirements fostering cross-functional collaboration to address evolving compliance needs
- Provide development and growth opportunities for shipping and warehouse team members
- Build develop and retain a high-performing supply chain team through coaching training and growth opportunities to foster continuous improvement
- Manage departmental budget headcount and resources to align with business priorities
- Develop and execute internal audit plans for 5S Kaizen process improvement activities 4M change management inventory and documentation with responsibility for identifying and recording any discrepancies
Does this sound like you
- Minimum 4 years of experience in a Shipping Manager or Supervisor role
- Bachelors degree in Business Management Engineering Logistics or a related fieldconsidered a strong asset
- Experience working in aCosmetic GMP environment preferred
- Strong organizational skillswith exceptionalattention to detail
- Demonstrated problem solvingand conflict management capabilities
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to inspire engage and motivate teams
- Knowledge of LEAN Six Sigma 5S and ISO Quality Standards an asset
