About the Team


The Solution Design & Services (SD&S) team serves as the pre-sales technical extension of Ingram Micro. As the first point of contact for many customers SD&S plays a vital role in shaping technical engagement and driving cloud and hyperscaler adoption across our partner ecosystem.

Role Overview
We are looking for a dynamic leader to manage a team of revenue-accountable technical associates. This role is responsible for aligning technical strategy with business unit goals with a strong focus on hyperscaler growth initiatives such as AWS Azure and Google Cloud. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership capabilities and a working knowledge of the hyperscaler landscape enabling them to guide their team effectively and foster collaboration across departments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop a high-performing technical pre-sales team
  • Align closely with business unit leadership to execute hyperscaler strategies
  • Support revenue-generating initiatives through technical enablement
  • Collaborate across teams to improve customer experience and solution delivery
  • Represent SD&S in strategic planning and partner engagements
  • Monitor performance metrics and drive continuous improvement

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Proven leadership experience with the ability to inspire and manage technical teams
  • Understanding of hyperscaler platforms such as AWS Azure and Google Cloud
  • Strong communication and strategic thinking skills
  • Background in technical pre-sales cloud strategy or partner enablement is beneficial
  • Certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect or Microsoft Azure Fundamentals are preferred but not required

Location Flexibility
This position is open to candidates located anywhere in the United States.

If located near an office: Hybrid is expected (3 days onsite / 2 remote)

Education/Experience:

Requires a four year college degree (or additional relevant experience in a related field). Minimum 5 years functional experience including a minimum of 4 years of position specific experience and 2 years of supervisory experience or 4 years of leadership experience.

70/30 (base/commission) split

The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $113000.00 - $192100.00 per year.

The ranges above reflect the potential annual base pay across the U.S. for all roles; the applicable base pay range will depend on the candidates primary work location pay grade and variable compensation plan. Individual base pay within each range depends on various factors in addition to primary work location such as complexity and responsibility of role job duties/requirements and relevant experience and skills. Base pay ranges are reviewed and typically updated each year. Offers are made within the base pay range applicable at the time of hire. New hires starting base pay generally falls in the bottom half (between the minimum and midpoint) of a pay range.
