Job Summary

Temporary Science Teacher - Meridian Creek Middle School

This is a temporary position. The tentative dates for this position are: 11/12/2025 - 4/6/2026.

ScienceEndorsement Required.

Position Description:

Create a vibrant learning community for middle school students in Science courses. Educate the whole child intellectually emotionally and physically. Plan instructional needs of all children using a constructivist approach to teaching and learning; implement a variety of assessments; establish good relations with parents students and staff; attend all pertinent faculty parent and school meetings; other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities Include:

Planning for the instructional needs of all students; Attending to the special needs of students; Teaching high expectations for student achievement and behavior;
Implementing state and district curriculum; Providing instruction that promotes all skill development knowledge and reasoning;
Using a variety of assessments to inform instruction; Creating an environment that maximizes student learningwith a focus on character development;
Developing partnerships that enhance student learning;
Modeling and teaching respect with an awareness of diversity; Demonstrating continuous professional growth.

Qualifications:

Knowledge of best practices in teaching;
Masters Degree preferred;
Oregon teaching license in assigned area(s) and proper endorsements
