DescriptionYoull support the SABE (Sanctions & AML Business Experts) team in managing AML & Sanctions risk in close cooperation with the First Line providing compliance and business expertise and performing Second Line monitoring and control.
Your focus will be on supporting the SABE team in day-to-day investigation and escalations work on concrete deliverables from the Financial Crime annual roadmap that have a defined project scope. This will help move the team forward on key areas such as gap assessments of how certain regulations are implemented in the First line tooling enhancements embedding specific procedures in the First Line or other Euroclear entities assisting the teams (together with E2E Value Chains) in delivering efficiency gains across our processes and interactions with the First Line.
Our team is part of the wider Compliance & Ethics department responsible for supporting the First Line on Financial Crime issues for the Euroclear Group. Compliance & Ethics is an integral part ofthe Three Lines helping to protect the integrity and enhance the reputation of Euroclear in its key role in the global financial markets.
Responsibilities:
- providing support to the EB AMLCO and the local Compliance Officers in Group CSDs
- being a SPOC (single point of contact) for the various business lines assisting in implementing an appropriate control framework and resolving day-to-day issues queries and escalations
- support to internal and external parties e.g. 1st line business units clients providers or regulators
- identification of gaps and leading the resolutions of them
- working closely with the Advisory team and contributing towards the correct implementation or suggested redesign of relevant control activities
Competencies
Technical skills
- Has a minimum of three years operational experience.
- Previous OPS experience of a minimum of three years
- A concrete understanding of Know Your Customer (KYC) Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Sanctions services is a must
- Very good knowledge of Euroclear services and products
- Good at managing relations and at ease with managing multiple deadlines and senior stakeholders
- Experience in building SLAs (Service Level Agreements)
