Job Title: Parts Assistant
Location: Onsite - MI 48071
Pay Range:$17-$19 per hour
Duration: Approximately 2-3 months
Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Parts Assistant to support our automotive repair operations. This role is responsible for receiving inspecting and managing vehicle parts ensuring accuracy quality and timely processing. The ideal candidate will bring knowledge of automotive parts and demonstrate strong organizational and communication skills. Experience with an estimating computer system is preferred but not required.
Key Responsibilities
- Receiving & Checking In Parts:Verify that delivered parts match repair orders and place them on designated parts carts.
- Quality Inspection:Inspect all incoming parts for damage and ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Vendor Communication:Track delivery status communicate regularly with vendors and promptly return incorrect parts.
- Invoicing:Enter parts invoices into the estimating platform and make necessary corrections.
- Inventory Management:Maintain accurate records to ensure all parts are properly accounted for.
Qualifications
- Education:High School Diploma or GED required.
- License:Valid drivers license required.
- Experience:Previous experience in an automotive parts role is highly beneficial.
- Skills:
- Knowledge of automotive parts.
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written).
- Ability to review and understand repair/work orders.
- Familiarity with estimating systems preferred but not required.
