IT Service Management (ITSM) Specialist (I & II Levels)

Location: Suffolk VA
Clearance: Active Secret clearance required

Responsibilities

  • Establish enterprise-wide approaches to IT service management to promote standardization efficiency and governance across the Navy Enterprise.

  • Collaborate with the Navy ITSM Office (ITSMO) and DoD-level stakeholders to develop refine and promote enterprise policies and standards.

  • Define and update ITSM process architecture standards service quality benchmarks and performance metrics to support acquisition and operational integration efforts.

  • Drive alignment with the DoD Enterprise Services Management Framework (DESMF).

  • Collaborate across the Department of the Navy (DON) and DoD on ITSM initiatives to ensure policies governance and best practices are consistently applied.

  • Serve as a subject matter expert in ITIL-based service strategy and operations.

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Information Systems Engineering or related discipline.

Experience

  • ITSM Specialist I: Minimum of 3 years applying ITSM disciplines to organizational business practices.

  • ITSM Specialist II: Minimum of 5 years of professional ITSM experience including demonstrated expertise with the DoD Enterprise Services Management Framework (DESMF).

Certifications

  • Required:

    • ITSM Specialist I: ITIL v3 (or later) Foundations certification.

    • ITSM Specialist II: ITIL v3 (or later) Foundations plus ITIL v3 (or later) Intermediate certifications in Service Operations and Service Strategy.

Clearance

  • Active Secret clearance required.
