Job Summary

McCarthy Stone are recruiting for a Duty Manager to be part of the team at ourAmelia Courtretirement living developmentin Worthing West Sussex.

Managerial experience is preferred the ideal candidate will have experience of deputising forManagers comfortable using computer systems & able to use their own initiative.

Hourly rate: 14.51per hour

Hours: 16 hours per week working alternate weekends.

Amelia Court - is a luxury purpose-built assisted living development situated in Worthing town centrewith access to local shops and amenities. The development features include communal facilities including table service restaurant homeowners lounge function room and a Library.

About the role:

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Duty Manager to exemplify the high-quality customer standards that we are renowned for. This is a brilliant opportunity to support the management and smooth running of this thriving community of active and independent older people so they get to live their best lives - in elegant private apartments in a beautiful setting with the peace of mind of always having someone on hand to help if needed.

Responsibilities include;

  • Deputising for the Estate Manager for the estate management functions.
  • Responding to emergency situations.
  • Leading and co-ordinating the Assisted Living support staff working within the development in providing services which can respond flexibly to the needs of the homeowners.
  • Ensuring staff rotas are effectively covered.
  • Ensure the building is clean and well-presented at all times.
  • Expected to discharge all duties and responsibilities in such a way as to enhance the quality of Assisted Living home owners lives in retirement.

About you:

  • You will be a warm friendly organised and self-motivated individual
  • Keen to take on the responsibility of managing the security of the development looking after the safety and wellbeing of the homeowners
  • Able to co-ordinate and facilitate activities that help strengthen the community spirit within the development.
  • Driven to continue to grow their skills and will want to lead by example and think on their feet.
  • Able to make a difference to the wellbeing and happiness of older people.
  • You will be computer literate with experience of usingMicrosoft Office and quick to pick up new skills and programmes whentraining is given.
