The Role

Were hiring an Engineering Manager to lead high-performing software engineering teams and create the conditions for them to thrive. Youll be a technical expert delivery leader and people coach ensuring engineers feel supported grow in their careers and deliver measurable impact to customers.

Youll work closely with Product peers to align priorities maintain roadmaps and ensure predictable sustainable delivery. Youll also champion engineering quality simplicity and modern practices including the adoption of AI-powered tools like GitHub Copilot to supercharge workflows.

You wont write production code but youll need the technical depth to coach effectively ask the right questions and advocate for best practices.

Above all youll help us build inclusive collaborative teams that do work that matters.

What Youll Do

  • Lead and develop engineers through regular 1:1s clear objectives and actionable feedback.
  • Drive delivery excellence: set goals track progress and enable continuous improvement.
  • Shape team composition to align with roadmap priorities and business outcomes.
  • Champion engineering standards and coach for simplicity and quality.
  • Remove friction from development workflows through better tooling and processes.
  • Collaborate across disciplines: Product Design Data and Principal Engineers.
  • Grow and hire talent ensuring inclusive recruitment and strong retention.
  • Foster high-trust inclusive teams where everyone feels ownership and belonging.
  • Lead adoption of AI tools to boost developer speed and quality.

What Youll Bring

  • Experience as a software engineer; you understand the challenges teams face and the best practices they need to adopt.
  • Proven success in line management coaching and enabling high-performing teams.
  • Passion for agile delivery and modern engineering practices (TDD CI/CD).
  • Strong communication skills and ability to build trust quickly.
  • Commitment to diversity inclusion and creating a culture of belonging.
  • A growth mindset and enthusiasm for continuous learning.
