Job Summary

The Communicate Study Partnership.

The vision of the Communicate Study Partnership is to ensure more First Nations peoples receive culturally safe healthcare.

A suite of activities is being implemented across NT hospitals including intercultural communication training clinical championing new interpreter employment models and mentoring and training for Aboriginal Interpreters.

TheProject Manager will coordinate and oversee the implementation of these activities across Royal Darwin Hospital Katherine Hospital Gove District Hospital and Alice Springs Hospital.

The role will lead project governance and operations manage contracts and budgets provide strategic guidance and ensure the sustainability of program outcomes.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading the management of complex administrative and operational processes including engagement with senior investigators collaborators and funding bodies.
  • Overseeing governance functions such as budget development financial monitoring contract negotiations risk management and reporting.
  • Building and maintaining strong stakeholder relationships to support project outcomes.
  • Supervising mentoring and supporting a team of staff across multiple sites.
  • Supporting the preparation of grant applications and sustainability planning to align with Menzies and partner organisations strategic objectives.

About You:


We are seeking applicants who can demonstrate:

  • Relevant postgraduate qualifications and/or significant project management and research coordination experience.
  • Strong financial management contract negotiation and risk management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills including the ability to work effectively with First Nations peoples and across cultures.
  • Proven leadership mentoring and team management capability.
  • A commitment to cultural safety and improving health outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

The Benefits:

  • Base Salary $114014 - $124170 per annum (Total remuneration package including superannuation $140169 - $151747 per annum).
  • Indigenous Knowledge Allowance as additional
  • Generous leave provisions including 6 weeks annual leave.
  • Salary packaging up to $15900 per annum and $2650 meal and entertainment card tax free.
