SUMMARY
Colliers Mortgage is seeking an experienced accounting professional to join the accounting team supporting its commercial and agency mortgage finance operations. This position will play an integral role in the month-end close and financial reporting processes for Colliers Mortgage. The ideal candidate will be a detail-oriented team player with a strong desire to drive process improvements within their role.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepare complicated incentive and commission calculations for Producers. Maintain Producer incentive and commission set-up in our partially automated system.
- Maintain general ledger through monthly close processes including journal entries account reconciliations and analytics
- Prepare documentation in support of external and internal audits
- Ad hoc requests to support operations and parent company reporting
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelors Degree in Accounting or Finance
- 3 years of accounting or finance experience
- Financial services industry experience preferred
- CPA active or inactive preferred
COMPETENCIES
- Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Intermediate Microsoft Office skills with advanced skills in Microsoft Excel
- Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to prioritize and manage deadlines
- Strong technical/analytical skills with the ability to think critically and maintain keen attention to detail
- Ability to work effectively both independently but also in a team environment
- SOX experience preferred
JOB EXPECTATIONS
Regular and reliable attendance required including 4 in-office days per week. This is a full-time position. Workdays are Monday through Friday during standard business hours.

Approximate salary range for this role: $75000 - $90000 annually
Our compensation ranges are determined by role level and location. The range displayed on this job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors including job-related skills experience and relevant education or training.
