About the position

Drive high-impact client projects using modern tech mentor talented engineers and help build our new team. Ready to make your mark The Senior Full Stack Engineer role is focused on translating client and project requirements into scalable reliable ease of use microservices cloud-based applications. The role requires a deep understanding of modern architectures and agile delivery methodologies.

This is a remote position but it is required to live in Guadalajara or León

What youll do:

Collaborate as a key member of our scrum team to translate requirements into scalable reliable cloud-based applications.

Design write test document and deploy robust code using React Java and SpringBoot.

Build reusable code libraries and backend APIs optimizing for speed and scalability.

Design and implement data storage solutions using SQL and MongoDB.

Leverage your expertise in Docker Google Cloud and Kubernetes (GKE) for containerization and cloud infrastructure management.

Support and enhance Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and CI/CD pipelines (e.g. CircleCI).

Participate actively in design and architecture discussions and agile sprint team ceremonies understanding microservices principles.

Contribute to the product vision and explore/propose new technologies.

As a foundational member of our Mexico team coach mentor and provide local support to future Metafora engineers.

What we need:

7 years of professional software development experience.

Strong proficiency and hands-on experience in:

5 years of hands on experience with Java (17) and SpringBoot (2.5)

3 years of hands on experience with React

Proven experience with Docker Kubernetes (GKE) and Google Cloud services are essential.

Experience with MongoDB is preferred.

Solid understanding of building and consuming REST APIs and microservices architecture.

Proficient understanding of build and source control tools (e.g. Git).

Experience working within Agile/Scrum development methodologies.

Excellent problem-solving debugging and communication skills.

Passion for mentoring and team leadership.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a high degree of proficiency in English.

Bachelors degree in Computer Science or equivalent degree.
