What will you be doing

Actuarial Reporting Analyst

Location: Hybrid 2 days per week in Dorking plus 1 additional day in Dorking Basingstoke or London

We are willing to consider flexible working options for this position

Unum UK are looking for a detail-oriented and technically capable Actuarial Reporting Analyst to join our Actuarial Reporting team. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with data processes and technical analyses in a collaborative and supportive environment.

In this role you will be responsible for supporting and delivering a wide range of actuarial reporting activities across US/UK GAAP and Solvency II frameworks. You will contribute to scenario and sensitivity analyses that inform both regulatory submissions and strategic business decisions. A key part of your role will involve communicating technical findings in an effective way to a range of stakeholders.

What will you bring

  • A 2:1 degree in a numerate subject with 2 years experience (and/or past student member of Institute of Actuaries)
  • Experience working within an Actuarial function ideally within Life Insurance though backgrounds in Pensions or GI are also valued (Preferred)
  • May have worked in other reporting or analytical roles but ideally have experience working alongside actuarial teams
  • Comfortable with technical process-driven tasks contributing to consistent and reliable reporting
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Working knowledge of SQL R or Python (Preferred)
  • Self-motivated logical thinker with a proactive approach to problem-solving
