Job Description

Job Title: Permanent - Radiology Operations Management
Location: San Francisco CA (must be on-site in San Leandro 2x per week)
Salary: $95000 $102000/year Full Benefits
Shift: Monday Friday 9:00 AM 5:00 PM (flexibility required)
Weekend Requirement: Based on caseload (overtime eligible)
On-Call Requirement: Yes details to be discussed during the interview

Position Summary:

The Area Operations Manager Radiology is responsible for the daily operations staff supervision and quality oversight of Radiologic Technologists and Sonographers within an assigned region. This leadership role ensures compliance with regulatory standards maintains operational efficiency and delivers high-quality patient care. The position requires hands-on management including clinical support staffing coordination and resource planning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise radiologic and/or ultrasound staff in designated region; ensure adherence to company policies and procedures

  • Manage staffing schedules workflow and productivity to meet patient care demands

  • Monitor regional performance metrics assist in budget oversight and provide data for capital equipment justifications

  • Ensure compliance with state-specific radiation health department and credentialing regulations

  • Provide direct clinical support and technical problem-solving as needed

  • Conduct performance evaluations (90-day and annual) coaching and disciplinary actions

  • Oversee quality of imaging studies and participate in image reviews

  • Manage supply ordering inventory control and coordinate equipment maintenance/repairs

  • Maintain communication with dispatch technologists and radiologists for effective service delivery

  • Coordinate training onboarding and credentialing of clinical staff

  • Perform imaging procedures when necessary to support team performance and service continuity

  • Manage vehicle scheduling and fleet maintenance for reliability and compliance

  • Review and approve technologist payroll; monitor efficiency using company metrics

  • Act as liaison between management and technologists to ensure team engagement and optimal outcomes

  • Other duties as assigned by the Director of Radiology Operations

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years experience in mobile imaging operations Required

  • Minimum 2 years in a supervisory or management role Required

  • Valid State Radiologic Technologist License (CRT) and ARRT certification Required

  • Valid Drivers License Required

  • Willingness to travel up to 50% within the service area Required

  • Strong interpersonal leadership and conflict resolution skills

  • Working knowledge of radiologic/ultrasound procedures regulations and equipment

  • Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities

  • Must be able to perform X-rays/ultrasounds when needed

Certifications Required:

  • ARRT (Radiologic Technologist) Required

  • Additional ARDMS/CCI certification Preferred but not required
