Job Summary
NovaTech Automation is seeking a Hardware Engineer to join our growing team in Lenexa KS. This role is ideal for someone passionate about technology eager to work on cutting-edge automation equipment and motivated to contribute to solutions that support critical infrastructure worldwide.
As a Hardware Engineer you will play a key role in the design development and testing of printed circuit boards (PCBs) and electronic hardware. You will collaborate with a team of engineers to ensure our products meet rigorous performance safety and compliance standards while driving innovation in substation automation. From CAD design to stress testing youll be hands-on in building and refining the systems that power tomorrows electrical grids.

What Youll Do
- Design and Develop: Create printed circuit boards test hardware and ruggedized electronic systems.
- Test & Validate: Design and implement hardware test strategies; conduct stress performance and compliance testing to U/L and CE standards.
- Troubleshoot & Repair: Analyze and resolve issues with power supplies analog/digital circuits and communication systems.
- Collaborate & Document: Work cross-functionally to ensure product quality maintain design documentation and uphold quality control standards.
- Innovate: Apply CAD tools (Altium SolidWorks AutoCAD) and testing equipment to bring new ideas from concept to production.
What Were Looking For
- Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering Computer Science or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 24 years of related hardware design and testing experience.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Solid verbal and written communication skills.
- Familiarity with electronic CAD software (Altium SolidWorks AutoCAD preferred).
- Knowledge of compliance standards (U/L CE) preferred.
- Programming experience is a plus but not required.
