Working 36.5 hours per week (hybrid working - able to attend key meetings across Birmingham when required)

Do you want to make a difference to over 200000 children and young people and their families in Birmingham The Children and Families Directorate at Birmingham City Council is looking for an innovative and curious Data & Intelligence Manager. Were embarking on a one-of-a-kind improvement journey that will affect families across the city. Were putting evidence and a data-driven approach at the heart of this improvement journey to make sure we understand our citizens backgrounds needs and views and can work collaboratively with our partners to design and deliver services that allow children and young people to thrive.

Were looking fordynamic and creative analytical professionals to develop insightful and impactful evidence that will lead to better outcomes for our children and young people.

About the Role

In this role youll provide leadership in intelligence analysis and performance. Youll work with teams across the Council and our partners to identify requirements and interdependencies so matrix management skills are paramount. You will collaborate with a diverse range of professionals and have a working knowledge of information governance to unlock actionable partnership insight.

The data intelligence and information your team collects and analyses will underpin strategies and innovative programmes to safeguard children and young people and improve their outcomes so this is a fantastic opportunity to work on projects that benefit young people and their communities. As such everything you do will be evidence-based geared towards continuous improvement and compliant with data protection legislation.

About You

An established professional with a degree-level qualification youll have substantial experience and an excellent knowledge of qualitative and quantitative data management transformation and analysis. Youll have proven leadership skills in a partnership environment with substantial experience of co-ordinating effective and outcomes-based evidence.

Youll combine advanced analytical skills with a can-do approach to problem-solving working with teams to find new data sources improving processes and testing innovative approaches to create insightful intelligence.

As a leader youll be an experienced driven creative and passionate advocate for children and young people. Youll have experience of building and maintaining effective working relationships with a wide range of colleagues stakeholders and external organisations. Youll set clear direction and objectives for your team using your influencing skills to inspire empower and motivate staff. Youll instil a culture that values compassion high-performance and inclusivity shaping and developing the skills of your team so that every person can get the most from their role.
