About The Role

Were seeking a dynamic Commercial Lines Account Manager to join our Mid-Market Commercial Insurance team. The Account Manager is a key client service partner to producers on an assigned book of business playing a central role in maintaining long-term relationships with clients by addressing the clients needs.

This is an ideal role for a strong team player who is organized detailed oriented and has a commitment to delivering results on required deadlines.

What Youll Do

  • Act as one of the primary points of contact for an assigned book; responsible for maintaining key client and insurer relationships
  • Meeting existing clients needs including but not limited to quotes premium adjustments endorsements renewals and claims
  • Prepare and monitor insurance submissions proposals and summaries of insurance with the support of an account assistant for the processing of binders certificates and billings
  • Negotiate with insurers to best meet the needs of the client in conjunction with the producer remarketing where necessary
  • Collect premiums from clients in a timeline pursuant to HUB standards
  • Assist with certificates of insurance & invoicing

What Youll Need for Success

  • RIBO (Registered Insurance Broker of Ontario) license Required
  • Typically 2 years of industry or product line experience with a focus on commercial risks
  • Extensive experience in the placement of Mid-Market Risks (General P&C and Liability)
  • Effective organizational skills and time management
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate (written and verbal) present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organization including executive
  • Experienced in delivering client-focused solutions based on unique needs
  • Pursuit of insurance industry designations (CIP CAIB etc.) is a plus
  • Proficiency with computer applications expected; EPIC experience is mandatory
