Job Summary
The Mechanic 2 is an expert technician and is responsible for utilizing mechanical training to contribute to fleet maintenance operations to keep Gravitys equipment on the rental ready line. The person in this role has working knowledge of the Companys products and standards of quality and understands standard operating procedures at the local (branch) region and national level.
THIS POSITION IS ELIGIBLE FOR A SIGN-ON BONUS
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Works with ethics honesty values and integrity. Provides a position of professionalism toothers.
Operates and tests equipment to ensure it passes Gravity quality and efficiencystandards.
Performs routine maintenance and repairs such as oil changes lubrication of equipment tirereplacements hose repairs battery replacements and assorted services on small fleet equipment andtrucks.
Diagnoses internal combustion engines DC electrical systems propane systems hydraulics andfuel systems.
Performs major repairs and assorted parts replacements to maintain fleet equipment usingdiagnostic tools hand tools and measuring instruments with minimal supervision.
Enters work orders via fleet management system.
Reconditions and replaces assorted parts of the heavy equipment.
Diagnoses problem areas for any significant wear or tear on the equipment.
Maintains work area in a clean and organized manner.
Completes all monthly safety and equipment-related trainings.
Any other duty responsibility or task as assigned by the supervisor.
