Occupational Summary:
This position is a tenure-track faculty position within the biology department. Teaching responsibilities include courses in (1) human pathophysiology human physiology including corresponding labs that support the undergraduate Biology program (2) advanced pathophysiology and advanced human physiology that support both the online Master program in Biomedical Science and the in-person Doctorate in Nurse Anesthesia program and (3) additional biology courses for pre-medical and other pre-health professional students.
The teaching load is 24 full-time undergraduate credit hour equivalents per year (based on the load hour conversion model in the Faculty Handbook) or 18 graduate credit hour equivalents. Faculty members also advise and mentor students and serve on university committees. Development of an undergraduate research program which includes undergraduate students is strongly encouraged.
