Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the role
TeHerenga Waka - Victoria University of Wellington is currently recruiting a Manager Academic Engagement to join Te Pātaka Kōrero The Library in a permanent full-time position.
Key responsibilities:
- Leading the Academic Engagement team to deliver effective and relevant learning teaching and research services and support for the academic community of the University.
- Actively contribute to strategic developments in Library learning teaching and research services to ensure that services remain effective and relevant and are communicated to stakeholders.
- Cultivate partnerships and work collaboratively across the Library and University to deliver services and support for the University and its community.
- Contribute to Te Pātaka Kōrero The Librarys strategic developments and initiatives as an activemember of the Library Leadership Team.

You will:
- Be a motivated experienced leader who blends strategic thinking with operational management and enjoys working in a fast-paced environment.
- Have a collaborative flexible approach an excellent manner with people and the ability to build trusted relationships across diverse communities.

- Enjoy leading and mentoring high-performingteams while juggling competing priorities with calm sound judgement.
Key requirements:
- Proven experience in leading teams in a library or tertiary education setting to successfully contribute to institutional goals.
- Be collaborative and relationship focused with the ability to make meaningful connections across both the Library and the broader University.
- Have strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to inspire influence and adjust to different audiences in a dynamic environment.
