The Nova Scotia Museum consisting of 28 museum sites is the most decentralized museum in Canada. It is also one of the oldest provincial museums in the country. The Nova Scotia Museum is responsible for the provincial collection of over one million arifacts and specimens housed at museum sites and storage facilities across the province.
The Museum of Natural History is seeking an outgoing energetic enthusiastic and team oriented individual with exceptional communication and organization skills to ensure excellence in retail and visitor services to clients and visitors.
The Clerk will assist with visitor services admissions shipping/receiving and reception duties for the Museum and Heritage Division recording visitor statistics maintaining current information on special orders passes discounts and special offers.
As the ideal candidate you possess at least 3 years of related experience in a retail or customer service environment experience. An equivalent combination of training and experience may be acceptable.
Knowledge and strong interest in the cultural and natural history of Nova Scotia and its Museums. You are a self-motivated individual who works well independently and participates fully in a team environment you value the concepts of equity diversity and inclusion in all areas of work.
You are proficient using Microsoft Office programs (Word Excel Outlook databases internet email Teams) have excellent organizational skills and strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and Verbal). You have experience with cash handling POS systems and inventory control systems.

Salary Range: $1501.11- $1633.95Bi-Weekly
