Job Description

Arlington HighSchool seeks a 1.0 FTE long-term substitute teacher ofFrenchNovember 2025-January 2026.
Candidates should have advanced oral proficiency inFrench and demonstrated oral and written communication skills in English. Candidates should have knowledge of research-based effective world language pedagogy including the ACTFL World-Readiness for Language Learning Standards. Candidates should be able demonstrate use of a variety of materials and modes of instruction incorporating authentic resources and be adept with technology. Effective techniques for classroom management and developing relationships with students are essential as well as the ability to work effectively with students parents colleagues and community members.
Valid Massachusetts DESE teaching licensure Foreign Language French Grades 5-12 is preferred.
