Job Summary
A Sales Associate is responsible for maintaining outstanding customer service as per company standards generating sales merchandising and safeguarding company assets.
Compensation - $30 per hour
Summary of Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Retail Operations Manager responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:
- Warmly greet and ensure that each customer receives outstanding service by providing a friendly environment
- Maintain solid product knowledge of designer brands and high-end materials/fabrics
- Maintain awareness of all marketing initiatives and events
- Assist in processing and replenishing merchandise and monitoring floor stock
- Assist in completing price changes within the department
- Ring up sales at register
- Assist in floor moves merchandising and displays
- Participate in inventory and cycle counts
- Ensure overall cleanliness of retail space and ensure maintenance requests are reported accordingly
- Any other tasks as assigned
Qualifications :
- Strong interest in high-end fashion and products is a must
- Previous experience in luxury clothing retail is an asset
- Previous experience with point of sale system is an asset
- Proven ability in suggestive sales is an asset
- Ability to communicate with customers and associates
- Ability to read count and write to accurately complete all documentation
- Ability to work varied hours/days including weekends and holidays as needed
Physical Aspects of Position (include but are not limited to):
- Constant standing and walking throughout shift
- Move and handle boxes of merchandise and fixtures throughout the store (up to 25lbs) which entails lifting kneeling bending pushing pulling and perform all functions as set forth above
