• Serve as the primary liaison for school personnel to schedule and coordinate Safe Start presentations.
• Facilitate presentations for students parents and staff including preparation of handouts PowerPoints and other educational materials.
• Develop and maintain annual calendars for school year and non-school year presentations.
• Update and refresh program curricula to ensure relevance effectiveness and engagement.
• Track program statistics including number of sessions schools and students served.
• Develop evaluation tools and assess program impact using results to make annual improvements.
  
  

• Conduct outreach to historically underserved or marginalized populations to increase awareness of domestic violence services.
• Identify and cultivate relationships with schools youth groups and community organizations for program expansion.
• Coordinate outreach efforts with agency staff and volunteers to address barriers for survivors accessing services.
• Distribute educational and awareness materials including brochures posters and safety plan resources.

• Maintain accurate knowledge of local social service agencies and available resources to provide timely and appropriate referrals.
• Build and maintain partnerships with referral sources to increase program awareness and participant engagement.
• Represent the agency at community events fairs and public speaking engagements as needed.
  
  

• Provide trauma-informed support to students or parents who identify as victims during program sessions.
• Assist shelter children with activities during summer months or non-school periods.
• Serve as a back-up for Community Outreach/DV Education staff when needed.
  
  

• Maintain accurate records of all presentations contacts and outreach efforts in agency databases.
• Prepare reports on program participation outreach outcomes and evaluation metrics.
• Participate in staff meetings trainings and program development activities as required.
• Other duties as assigned.
  
  

• Bachelors degree required; relevant experience in social services education or prevention programs preferred.
• Experience working with youth schools or domestic violence programs is highly preferred.
• Strong organizational communication and project management skills.
• Ability to work independently manage multiple tasks and travel within the programs service area.
  

• Bachelors degree in Social Work Counseling Education Psychology or a related field.
  
  

• 3-5 years of experience working with youth domestic violence survivors or community education programs.
• Experience in outreach program coordination or public speaking is preferred.
• Strong organizational project management and workflow skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word Excel PowerPoint).
  
  

• Valid Drivers License.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and provide trauma-informed services.

The Crisis Center for South Suburbia has been providing hope and services to victims of domestic violence for over 40 years through housing counseling advocacy outreach and prevention programs. We are a non-profit community organization that provides emergency shelter and other essential services for individuals and families victimized by domestic violence and addresses the societal issues that contribute to domestic violence. With a staff of more than 50 employees and a budget of over four million dollars the Crisis Center continues to grow while offering free services to Chicagos south suburban communities.
