We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. Key Responsibilities:
- Obtain medical and social histories vital signs and measurements as directed and document all information accurately in patient records.
- Assist healthcare providers during patient examinations ensuring a comfortable and efficient process.
- Collect prepare and process specimens for laboratory testing in accordance with established protocols.
- Administer treatments immunizations and medications correctly and safely as directed by healthcare providers.
- Maintain clinical equipment and supplies including cleaning and sterilizing instruments and ensuring emergency kits are stocked and ready.
- Support coworkers in patient care and administrative tasks to maintain an organized workflow and timely patient throughput.
- Conduct pre-visit planning by reviewing and updating patient charts prior to appointments and gathering additional information as needed.
- High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a Medical Assistant training program preferred
- Prior experience in a clinical or healthcare setting is a plus
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) systems and standard office equipment
- Knowledge of medical terminology and basic clinical procedures
- Compassionate detail-oriented and dependable
- Ability to travel between the Chapman and Junction City Clinic
