QTEC Aerospace is seeking a DEVOPS ENGINEER to join our team of professionals in Huntsville AL. The qualified applicant will become part of a team of professionals representing both industry and government. The successful candidate will be detail oriented have a proven track record and a positive work ethic.

Job Summary

QTEC Aerospace is looking for highly capable and motivated individuals. The successful candidate will function as an integral member of a multi-contractor team providing program engineering and technical support to Missile Defense programs.

Job Duties/Responsibilities

Responsibilities will include but may not be limited to the following:

• Designs develops documents tests and debugs applications software and systems
• Conducts multidisciplinary research and collaborates with systems engineers and/or hardware engineers in the planning design and development
• Determines computer user needs
• Analyzes system capabilities to resolve problems on the program intent output requirements input data acquisition programming techniques and controls
• Prepares operating instructions
• Ensures software standards are met

Minimum Education and Experience

• Bachelors degree in a Science Technology Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university with 2 - 10 years of related experience

Required Knowledge Skills and Abilities

• Experience developing software using Java and C
• Experience developing software on Linux
• Experience managing source code using Git GitHub or GitLab
• Understanding of all phases of the software development lifecycle and practical experience in an Agile/DevOps environment
• General understanding of DevSecOps practices
• Must be able to support an in-person closed-area work environment 100% of the time
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills including ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and prepare and brief presentations to the customer as needed.
• Self-motivated and customer-oriented.

Desired Knowledge Skills and Abilities

• Familiar with containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes
• Experience with Atlassian tools such as JIRA Confluence and Jenkins
• Programming and scripting experience (C Perl Bash JavaScript Python)
• Experience with unit testing (JUnit) and automated testing
• Experience with Eclipse Ansible
• Experience with Modeling and Simulation / Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)
• Experience with Air & Missile Defense Command and Control programs such as IBCS PATRIOT SENTINEL C2BMC or THAAD or any sensor/weapon system
• Security certification

Security Clearance

Candidates must currently have and be able to maintain a minimum DoD SECRET level security clearance.
