The Senior Buyer role requires a minimum of 5 years experience in the purchasing field with strong knowledge of international procurement & shipping (total cost model). This position requires outstanding organizational interpersonal communication and follow-through skills with proven ability to work independently. While managing the Kanban ordering process this role also encompasses a broad range of responsibilities including supplier communications negotiation document preparation records management financial administration inventory management new product introduction and general problem-solving.
This on-site position reports to the Supply Chain Manager and is part of the Manufacturing team located in San Jose.
In this role you will have the opportunity to:
- Support complex Electro/Mechanical supply chain and inventory management system
- Plan inventory levels locations and execute all forecasting and planning programs
- Identify and execute inventory reduction/cost reduction projects
- Be a champion for material processes. Promote problem-solving for on-time delivery misses that occur daily implement effective countermeasures negotiate with Suppliers and provide feedback to affected parties on delivery challenges.
The essential requirements of the job include:
- 5 years experience in purchasing and working with supply chain and inventory management systems (i.e. KANBAN MRP Oracle or similar inventory system plus Advanced skills in Microsoft Products.
- Excellent organizational skills and strong communication across teams and upwards through the organization.
- Proven track record of prioritizing multiple tasks and assignments.

The salary range for this role is $110000-$120000. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. This range may be modified in the future.
This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
