Ronco is seeking a talented Structured Cabling Technicianin our Summerville South Carolina market to work with customers onsite at locations within a designated this role you will be responsible for installing cable pathway systems firestop systems and various cable including but not limited to twisted pair cable coax multi-mode fiber and other low-voltage cables.
Accountabilities Include:
  • Install and terminate cabling per project scope and engineered drawings.
  • Install terminate test label and document all types of horizontal and backbone cables to BICSI standards.
  • Dress and route cable into telecommunications closets modular furniture and other work area outlets.
  • Build out telecommunication and equipment rooms.
  • Firestop various types of cable penetrations.
  • Test troubleshoot and document test results for cabling.
  • Follow all company safety policies and procedures; and report all accidents hazards and equipment problems.
  • Assist in coordinating shipping of project equipment.
  • Maintain an ongoing dialog with the Lead Installation Technician and Project Manager ensuring that work quality performance and materials meet required schedules and expectations.
  • Maintain all documents related to cabling infrastructure and provide daily progress reports.
  • Mount equipment while adhering to best practices industry standards and manufacturer requirements.
  • Conduct job site surveys including visual inspections and problem identification.
  • Maintain a clean presentable vehicle inside and out completing routine preventive maintenance requirements and arranging for repairs as required.
Requirements for Success:
  • High School Diploma GED or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 1 year of structured cabling experience.
  • Familiarity with volt meters crimping tools and standard cable testing equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
  • Professional self-starter who is reliable flexible proactive resilient organized and punctual.
  • Computer skills to include understanding basic computer manipulation managing computer files word processing using spreadsheets and databases creating presentations finding information and communicating.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively express ideas and information.
  • Ability to thrive both independently and in a team environment.
  • A high level of commitment to customer satisfaction.
  • Basic math computation skills to include addition subtraction multiplication division percentages and fractions.
  • Ability to follow policies processes and procedures.
  • Effective use of Microsoft 365 suite of products.
  • Demonstrated attention to detail and commitment to task in completing assignments with quality outputs.
  • Maintain industry-recognized technology credential(s).
  • Maintain a clean driving record.
