Job Description

Shri Educare Limited invites smart energetic and creativeeducationists to be a part of the family. To provide effective dynamic and inspirational support to SEL and its schools so that they build effective systems and process. The purpose of this position is to ensure academic excellence in our schools by developing implementing and reviewing the Student Advisory Programme (college and career counselling). The role primarily focuses on:-

Purpose

  1. To develop implement and review the Student Advisory Programme (college and career counselling).
  2. To work closely with the Primary Consultant in providing operational support to SEL schools as required.

Principal Accountabilities & Responsibilities

1. School Tasks:

  1. Responsible for the design & development of SAP (Student Advisory Programme) curriculum.
  2. Responsible for the development and implementation of the Student Advisory Programme (SAP) from Grades VI XII.
  3. Responsible for the development and implementation of the SAP CCG from Grades IX XII & also co-creation of CCG as per need.
  4. Support the school is setting up of the SAP office in schools.
  5. Implementation of career programmes/events for students like Student Square Forging The Future Professional Pathways (sports management) etc.
  6. Provide support to school advisors so that they can carry out their advisory role and responsibilities.
  7. Create workshop modules for advisors both new and experienced.
  8. Maintain all documentations pertaining to each school in SEL.
  9. Organize quarterly reviews monthly meetings as per set timelines.
  10. Analyse school reports to see how our support to the schools can be further improved.
  11. Collaborate to host the bi-annual Forging the Future- college and career fair.
  12. Ensure the release of SAP newsletter as per timelines.
  13. Plan and conduct career workshops for parents as requested by schools.
  14. Provide support to schools in organizing summer internships.
  15. Provide support in implementing project transitions if/as needed.

2. Administrative Tasks:

  1. Work in collaboration with the Primary Consultant in all required areas.
  2. Ensure customization and implementation of the school counselling policies in line with the requirements for each school.
  3. Coordinate counselling tasks as defined in the APC Annual Planning Cycle of the school.
  4. Be responsible for all communication and liaison with the school.
  5. Maintain a record of all communication forms documents and reports of the school
  6. Update all counselling documents in TEAMS and Shri Connect as required.
  7. Develop and review policies handbooks and other communication material annually.
  8. Plan and circulate yearly visit calendar in advance.
  9. Deliberate and detail control points for the year in advance and review the same with the line manager at the end of the year.
  10. Ensure timely documentation of Visit Reports Monthly Review PPTs etc. and monitor that all school related tasks and process is done on a regular basis.
  11. Complete and submit monthly report to the VP Ops
  12. Submit quarterly report to the VP Ops as per timelines.

3. Self development

3.1 Participate in training programs organized by the office.

3.2 Upgrade existing skills to support the demands of the role.

3.3 Keep oneself informed on the latest pedagogy best practices and new-trends in the education domain.

3.4 Identify and participate in professional development opportunities.

Challenges/Complexity of Job:

  • Align the school team with SELs ethos and philosophy
  • Liaise between Principal Promoter and SEL as cultural and regional diversities provide different mindsets and thought processes
  • As individual complex organizations the nature of support provided to each school is tailored requiring a dynamic approach as per their constant changing needs.
  • To support the school in its own development so that it builds internal capacity and progress making it sustainable over time.
  • To keep oneself abreast of contemporary best practices and techniques to enrich SELs existing curriculum and pedagogy
  • Manage travel plan logistics to accommodate school calendars

Job Function: Career Counselor

Age: 30 - 40 Years

Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a career counsellor in a school of repute.
  • Experience with curriculum design
  • Experience with school counselling preferred behavioural and college case of experience in any one of the two preference to be given to behaviouralcounselling experience.

Qualification: Diploma/Certificate in Guidance and career counseling. Bachelors Degree in behavioural social sciences and human services field.

Preference: For candidates who are staying in and around Gurugram. The office is located in Sector 50 Nirvana Country Gurugram.
