Role Description
SMBC is seeking a Senior Software Application Developer you will be highly experienced and hands-on Senior Full Stack Developer in building and deploying enterprise-grade web applications. The ideal candidate excels in and Java/Node-based backends has a deep understanding of object-oriented programming and is proficient in designing and implementing RESTful APIs within a microservices architecture. Strong experience with Microsoft Azure modern DevOps practices and Agile methodologies is essential.
This role will report to the Executive Director of Corporate Banking Application Development
Role Objectives: Delivery
- Lead the design and development of (frontend) andJava(backend e.g. Spring Boot)/TypeScript ().
- Architect and implement scalablemicroservicesandRESTful APIs.
- Apply advancedobject-oriented programming (OOP)principles and design patterns.
- Build clean responsive and accessible user interfaces usingHTML5CSS3JavaScript andTypeScript.
- Develop and deploy cloud-native solutions leveragingAzureservices including:
- API Management (APIM)
- Event Hub
- Azure Functions
- App Services
- PostgreSQL
- Work withrelational (SQL)andnon-relational (NoSQL)databases and integration layers.
- Guide Agile development practices including sprint planning reviews and retrospectives.
- Collaborate with product DevOps and QA teams to ensure high-quality deliverables.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science Engineering or a related field.
- Azure or cloud-related certifications.
- Proven leadership in cross-functional teams and Agile environments.
- 8 yearsof professional software development experience in full stack roles.
- Expert-level skills and web application architecture.
- Strong knowledge ofobject-oriented design data structures and algorithms.
- Demonstrated experience withRESTful API developmentandmicroservices.
- Proficiency inJavaScriptTypeScriptHTML5 andCSS3.
- Deep experience withMicrosoft Azureservices (APIM Azure Functions etc.).
- Strong understanding ofSQL/NoSQLdatabases and data modeling.
- Experience withAgile developmentCI/CD practices
- Docker andKubernetes is a plus
- Have strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to demonstrate a self-motivated and disciplined approach to learning and working.
- Ability to work in a team environment and demonstrate leadership skills when needed.
- Possess a highly developed sense of personal accountability and follow-through with an ability to effectively prioritize multiple personal tasks projects and goals.
