Position Summary
The Department of Biological Sciences at Indiana University South Bend invites applications for a full-time lecturer position starting August 1 2026. The teaching load is the equivalent of 12 credit hours of undergraduate coursework each semester (fall and spring) and may include evening weekend off-site or online courses. Summer teaching is voluntary and compensated separately. The successful candidate will be expected to teach in the introductory biology sequence (including labs) and will have the opportunity to teach classes in the candidates area of expertise. Lecturers are expected to participate in service activities to the department school campus or community such as regularly attending and participating in faculty meetings and serving on relevant committees. This position does not carry any expectations for a research program or publications. Review of applications will begin on October 20 2025 and will continue until the position is filled. The search will remain open until a suitable candidate is found.
