Job Title: Change Coordinator I
Location: Morton Grove IL 60053
Duration: 12 months (with possible extension)
Shift- Starting between 7:00am 8:30Am 8 hour shift (Mon-Fri)
About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Change Coordinator I to support engineering and manufacturing change management processes within Applied Water Systems division. The successful candidate will coordinate enterprise-level product and data changes ensuring accuracy compliance and clear communication across cross-functional teams. This role requires a strong background in engineering systems documentation and product lifecycle management (PLM).
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and support engineering and technical data changes through the Enterprise Change Request (ECR) process using PLM software (Windchill preferred).
- Collaborate with engineering leadership project engineers marketing production quality purchasing and vendors on product improvement and cost reduction initiatives.
- Create revise and maintain engineering documentation bill of materials (BOM) and design records to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Apply engineering principles in 3D modeling analysis and documentation of assemblies components and sub-assemblies.
- Provide programming logic for bill of material generation using configurator applications.
- Ensure timely communication and coordination of approvals and implementation of enterprise changes.
- Support projects related to engineering systems applications including Pro/E/Creo and PDMLink.
- Participate in factory visits (up to 2x per week) to track projects follow up on product changes or resolve issues.
- Manage shifting priorities with strong multi-tasking skills.
Qualifications
Required:
- Associates degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline (or equivalent experience).
- Hands-on experience with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems preferably Windchill.
- Familiarity with CAD tools (Pro/E Creo or equivalent).
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent written verbal and collaborative communication skills.
- Knowledge of manufacturing operations quality standards and production processes.
- Ability to solve problems analyze technical issues and manage multiple priorities effectively.
Preferred:
- Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- 1 2 years of relevant experience in product project or support engineering within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of electro-mechanical components pumps motors and valves.
- Knowledge of HVAC systems fluid applications and pressure vessel design.
- Experience with regulatory standards (UL FM CSA CE).
- Prior experience working with global cross-functional teams across time zones.
