Job Summary
Introduction
POSITION: Legal Services Manager
INDUSTRY: Mining
SALARIES: Up to R1.7mil p/a

Duties & Responsibilities
Responsibilities:
- Provide legal advice and support to the group of companies focusing on business and mining law
- Draft and review contracts manage legal cases and make sure the company follows the law
- Act as the main legal contact and sometimes speak for the company in outside legal matters
- Find and manage legal risks to protect the company
- Handle legal problems and work with outside lawyers when needed
- Give advice on company deals like buying or joining other businesses
- Do legal research to understand risks and rules for company activities
- Help managers understand the legal side of their decisions and how to follow the law
- Create and check company rules and policies to make sure they follow legal requirements
- Give advice on company leadership ethics and other legal matters
Desired Experience & Qualification
Qualifications & Experience required:
- LLB Degree. LLM or MBA would be an advantage
- Admitted attorney or Advocate registered with the Legal Practice Council
- 8 years experience in commercial law mining law and/or litigation
Package & Remuneration
SALARIES: Up to R1.7mil p/a
