Job Summary

Introduction

Company in Pretoria is looking for an Attorney to join their team.

Requirements:

  • 3 Years of experience in a similar role
  • Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite (Word PowerPoint and Excel)
  • Admitted legal practitioner
  • Experience in Labour Law
  • Dispute litigation at CCMA and bargaining council level
  • Experience chairing and presiding over disciplinary hearings
  • Experience presenting training on disciplinary and incapacity processes
  • Valid drivers licence and own vehicle
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong administrative experience
  • Knowledge of the relevant field of law for which the appointment is made
  • Ability to draft legal documents
  • Experience in report writing with high proficiency in English
  • Strong understanding of applicable legislation regulations general law and corporate governance

Duties:

  • Provide legally sound and accurate advice to clients
  • Draft legal correspondence opinions pleadings and contracts using solid legal and commercial principles
  • Attend internal and external meetings and offer legal input when required
  • Identify opportunities for new business
  • Contribute to company publications
  • Handle administrative duties including timely email responses submitting timesheets and travel claims and filing all relevant correspondence for easy reference
  • Build and maintain strong internal and external relationships
