The Opportunity

Monash Universitys Faculty of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences is seeking a talented Research Fellow to join the Drug Delivery Disposition and Dynamics (D4) group in an ARC-funded postdoctoral position delivered in close partnership with Fonterra.

This role offers an exciting opportunity to investigate the biological behaviour of lipid-based nutritional delivery systems focusing on the compositional and functional biointerfaces of emulsions in physiological fluids and their interactions with biological surfaces especially the gastrointestinal tract.

Key Responsibilities

  • Study lipidproteinpolysaccharide interfaces in complex biological media
  • Conduct research involving cell culture bacteriology and compositional analysis
  • Develop and optimise equipment and methods for analysing interface composition and cell interactions
  • Perform quantitative analysis of particlecell interactions
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external infrastructure platforms

  • Expertise in cell culture microbiology or bacteriology
  • Experience in biochemical or biophysical characterisation of emulsions or delivery systems
  • A collaborative mindset and enthusiasm for interdisciplinary research
