The Opportunity

Monash Universitys Faculty of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences is seeking a talented Research Fellow to join the Drug Delivery Disposition and Dynamics (D4) group in an ARC-funded postdoctoral position delivered in close partnership with Fonterra.

This role offers an exciting opportunity to investigate the biological behaviour of lipid-based nutritional delivery systems focusing on the compositional and functional biointerfaces of emulsions in physiological fluids and their interactions with biological surfaces especially the gastrointestinal tract.

Key Responsibilities

Study lipidproteinpolysaccharide interfaces in complex biological media
Conduct research involving cell culture bacteriology and compositional analysis
Develop and optimise equipment and methods for analysing interface composition and cell interactions
Perform quantitative analysis of particlecell interactions
Collaborate with internal teams and external infrastructure platforms

Expertise in cell culture microbiology or bacteriology
Experience in biochemical or biophysical characterisation of emulsions or delivery systems
A collaborative mindset and enthusiasm for interdisciplinary research
Strong initiative and ability to engage across academic and industry domains
