Job Title: Reliability EngineerLocation: Wimborne DorsetSalary: 35000 - 40000 BenefitsAn excellent opportunity has arisen for a Reliability Engineer to join a global leader in the aerospace and defence industry working on innovative mission-critical systems.You will be part of the Reliability Maintainability & Safety (RMS) team embedding Design for Reliability (DfR) practices across new and existing programmes and ensuring compliance with international aerospace standards. This is a fantastic opportunity to grow your expertise in a high-integrity engineering environment with clear career development prospects.Key Responsibilities- Perform reliability maintainability and safety (RMS) analyses at both component and system level.
- Produce reliability predictions FMECAs/FMEAs maintainability analyses and fault tree analyses (FTA).
- Support DfR activities such as DFMEA risk management logs HALT/HASS and robustness modelling.
- Analyse in-service data and support FRACAS processes to drive product improvement.
- Work with design and development teams to ensure products meet certification requirements (ARP4754A ARP4761 DO-178C/DO-254 MIL-HDBK-217).
- Prepare technical reports and liaise with internal stakeholders and customers.
Skills & Experience Required- Degree in Engineering (or equivalent).
- 2 years experience in a technical engineering role.
- Background in aerospace defence avionics or other safety-critical sectors preferred.
- Hands-on knowledge of FMEA FMECAs FRACAS reliability block diagrams fault tree analysis and reliability modelling.
- Familiarity with aerospace certification standards (ARP4754A ARP4761 DO-178C DO-254 MIL-HDBK-217).
- Experience with reliability/statistical tools such as Minitab Weibull or Windchill Quality Solutions.
- Knowledge of fuel hydraulic or avionics systems would be an advantage.
