Job Summary: Registered Nurse (RN) - Level 3 Trauma Emergency Room

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our dynamic team in our 24 bed Level 3 Trauma Emergency Room ranked #2 in Lifepoint Health. As an RN in our ER you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality care to patients experiencing a wide range of traumatic injuries and medical emergencies.

Key Responsibilities:

Patient Care: Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients with acute and critical conditions including trauma cardiac events respiratory distress and other medical emergencies.
Assessment and Triage: Quickly and accurately assess patient conditions prioritize care based on severity and initiate appropriate interventions.
Collaboration: Work closely with physicians advanced practice providers and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
Trauma Management: Administer life-saving treatments and interventions for trauma patients including wound care medication administration and emergency resuscitation.
Communication: Maintain clear and effective communication with patients families and the healthcare team to ensure seamless care delivery and positive patient outcomes.
Documentation: Accurately document all patient interactions assessments interventions and outcomes in the electronic medical record (EMR) system.
Education and Support: Provide patient and family education on medical conditions treatment plans and post-discharge care.
Compliance: Adhere to hospital policies procedures and regulatory guidelines to ensure a safe and compliant environment for all patients and staff.

Qualifications and Requirements:

Applicants should have a current State of Tennessee or Multi-State Registered Nurse licensureand possess an associate or bachelors degree or RN Diploma in Nursing.

BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC) - Required to be current upon hire
ACLS & PALS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC) - Required within 6 months of employment if not current upon hire.
TNCC - Preferred
1 year of Emergency Services nursing AEMT Paramedic or Military experience - preferred
