QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must hold a current NYS Teaching CertificationorNYS Coaching CertificationorNYS Temporary Coaching License
• SAVE DASA Child Abuse Workshop GCN Training
• Current First Aid CPR & AED
• Fingerprinting clearance
• Additional requirements may apply as per State regulations and district expectations

Sections 3001 and 3009 of New York State Education Law and Part 80 of Regulations of the Commissioner of
Education require certification for compensation as an athleticcoachby a public school district. If applicants are not
certified at the start of the season they will be considered volunteers until valid certification from NYSED is issued.
