40Summary:
Seeking a Medical Receptionist for Cook Childrens Little Elm Primary Care. This position is the first point of contact for our patients; responsibilities include greeting patients and establishing a friendly and positive intake and check-out encounter during each patients visit. Requires excellent communication skills and the ability to adapt to changes in both staffing levels and patient volumes. The Medical Receptionist will maintain patient flow answer phones promptly and courteously and perform scheduling registering billing and payment collection activities for patients while following all applicable policies and procedures. Must successfully learn and understand diversified insurance plans and medical terminology.
Education Skills & Experience:
High School graduate or equivalent.
Customer service experience required.
Previous Medical Office experience (strongly preferred).
Ability to multitask and withstand pressure that may arise when working in a busy medical office.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Experience in Pediatrics (preferred).
