As a Locum Hospitalist you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care collaborating with healthcare teams to ensure the delivery of high-quality medical services. Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive medical care to hospitalized patients
- Conduct thorough patient assessments and develop treatment plans
- Collaborate with nursing staff and other healthcare professionals
- Document patient progress and treatment outcomes in medical records
- Participate in multidisciplinary rounds to discuss patient care
- Assist in the coordination of patient discharges and follow-up care
- Stay current with medical guidelines and best practices in internal medicine
- Engage in continuous learning and professional development opportunities
Requirements
- Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution
- Active medical license in the state of practice
- Strong clinical skills and knowledge in internal medicine
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
- Basic computer skills for electronic medical records
- Commitment to providing high-quality patient care
- Availability to work flexible hours as needed
Schedule: 7p-7a
Patient Volume: 4-5 admissions per night
Duties: Admit patients cross-cover patient needs and respond to codes
No procedures required
EMR: Epic
Must be board-certified
Paid travel & expenses
